I don’t think anybody thought the outcome of this game was going to be any different. That’s kind of sad. Playing on the road, second of a back to back, against the defending champions. Tall Order indeed. The Phoenix Suns had their work cut out for them and they started the game with a good effort. From brightsideofthesun.com; ”The Suns at least competed tonight. The first quarter witnessed an active Suns team, combatting a nearly flawless Lakers attack. Amare Stoudemire showed up, feeling his outside game and battling inside for rebounds. But five turnovers leading to a 9-2 Lakers run in the first 7 minutes left the Suns in an early hole.” A 15-1 run by the Lakers in the third pretty much sealed the deal. Kobe finished with 26 points. Steve Nash had 12 points and 10 assists. Amare Stoudemire had 18 points, Grant Hill finished with 12 points. The Lakers are one of, if not the best team in the NBA. They are big, play great defense and are a veteran team. Their schedule had to be one of the easiest in the NBA so far this season with almost all of their games played at home. The Suns have got to work on defense. If we are not shooting the ball great we have to defend to stay in the game and give ourselves an opportunity for a win.
