Suns Complete Road Sweep. Defeat Kings 114-102.

That score makes it look a lot closer than it really was. The Phoenix Suns were in complete control from start to finish. Steve Nash almost had a triple double but couldn’t get two more rebounds before coming out. He finished with 23 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Amare Stoudemire had another great game, with 30 points and 9 rebounds. The Suns have won their last 5 games , 4-0 on the road. It’s hard to believe this is the same team people felt had no chance to make the playoffs. They are now in the middle of the pack with a number 5 seed for now. From valleyofthesuns.com;

“If this game were played before the last few games, the lead would have been gone a couple minutes later altogether and then the Suns would have spent the fourth quarter fighting for their lives and then probably losing to the Kings after executing poorly down the stretch. This time Gentry promptly called a timeout, Nash drained a three from like 30 feet and then Amare followed that up with a couple power slams off Nash assists, including an alley-oop, with all this coming not much more than a minute after the timeout to put the Suns back up by 17 all of a sudden. Phoenix proceeded to score a couple more buckets to make this an 11-0 run, and before the Kings knew what had hit them the Suns had gone on a 22-3 run over the course of about six minutes to put this one away.”

Its nice to see this team close games. Having Robin Lopez start at center has added some toughness to the starting lineup.
